Spring cleaning

1 min read
Since I should be working on all of my final assignments right now, I naturally decided to ignore them entirely and use the buildup of anxious energy to clean up my DA gallery a bit by putting some (SOME) of my older, shittier drawings into storage. Thought I'd write a post about it in case any of you were wondering what happened to that-one-thing-I-favourited-5-years-ago. This is my compromise instead of deleting my account. ^^' Maybe someday.

Thanks for sticking with me all this time!

Hey everyone.
As you can tell, I'm not terribly active here anymore, and I don't plan on posting much more in the future.
I'm not done drawing, though, not by a longshot! I've simply moved. If you're still interested in seeing my art, I'll be posting sketchbook pages and finished art on my new blog, mirthfulartist.tumblr.com. I also have a personal blog, mirthfulrealist.tumblr.com. These are the best ways to contact me, if ever you want to. :) I still may come here occasionally, but my main scene is elsewhere.

Thanks for all your support over the years, guys!

[EDIT: I realize I accidentally posted this three times. Bluh. Sorry.]

Hey everyone! Yup, I'm still here.

I just finished up my first year as an Illustration student, and I'm so glad to be back home! I haven't really posted any of my work from school, because frankly I don't think an of it is terribly interesting...or terribly good, not that my posts thus-far have exactly been top-notch, but these ones are just not fun. I'll look through them again, though, and see if I find anything I think you might like.

Anyways, now that the school projects are over and done with, the personal projects begin.

As usual, I have a lot of very ambitious projects lined up, many of which I probably won't finish. Number one is trying to teach myself animation. I've acquired a scary new textbook (Animator's Survival Kit) and am hoping to dive in as soon as I clean up my workspace. I also plan on making a Sailor Jupiter costume, a bunch of other crafts for etsy, and possibly (POSSIBLY) starting my own Pokémon Youtube channel! I've got many ideas for videos, but absolutely no knowledge on equipment or editing software. Any help or advice is super appreciated, but this is probably my lowest priority right now.

Anyways, that's all for now. Thanks all of you for reading, and I hope to be back soon with some m ore artwork. :)

Alex Hirsch is doing an actual AMA (ask me anything) as Bill Cipher on April 1st at 11:30am (PST, I think). Hopefully not an April Fool's prank.

This is your chance to ask him the really IMPORTANT questions.
If you can make it, here are a few tips:

www.pinterest.com/pin/21420252…

  1. Don't be rude. This is a very generous thing for Alex to do with his time, so be respectful. Okay?
  2. Don't ask silly or stupid questions. This is a really HUGE opportunity to get some serious answers. Don't waste your question on spam like pairings, doritos, or fanfiction/AUs.
  3. Don't freak out about Alex being there. This is a place for questions for BILL, not a place to revere the almighty Hirsch. We can do that elsewhere.
  4. Don't force yourself to ask a question if you haven't come up with good one yet. There's no rush. Think hard about what you want to ask before posting. Chances are, he's more likely to answer questions that are well-thought out and relevant to the plot. :)
  5. See what questions have already been answered to make sure that you aren't clogging his inbox with doubles, triples, etc.

Another thing to keep in mind is that he's definitely NOT going to answer questions that reveal major spoilers. Choose your words wisely, and you might get answers (paired with more questions) that we can really work with while we wait patiently for the next episode.
And remember to have fun!
